LEGAL REFERRAL Virginia A. Moore is the principal in the Law
Offices of Virginia A. Moore where she offers legal assistance in the areas of
oil and gas law, commercial real estate, farm and ranch law and general
business matters. Virginia began her legal career with Conoco, Inc.
in Houston where she practiced oil and gas law, with a separate emphasis in
environmental law. In the
1980’s, she moved with her husband to Dallas and joined the downtown
Dallas law firm of Geary, Stahl & Spencer, P.C., where she practiced
commercial real estate and general business law. Within a few years, Virginia formed
her own law firm which grew to include six lawyers and related staff. Virginia later served as in-house legal counsel
to one of her large clients active in commercial real estate development in
several states. Virginia took a
sabbatical from the active practice of law in the late 1990’s to develop
real estate with her husband, Chris Howell. After Chris took early retirement from
Citigroup in 2004, the couple traveled the United States in a Monaco Bus as
full-time RV’ers. In late 2005, Virginia and her husband decided to
settle back down near their newly married daughter who had purchased a home
in northern Flower Mound. She and
her husband now make their home in the Southern Denton County of Copper
Canyon. Virginia graduated from the University of Houston
with an undergraduate degree in Education. After spending five years teaching,
she returned to earn a law degree from the same school, graduating cum laude,
a semester early in December 1978. Virginia is Board Certified in Oil, Gas and
Mineral Law by the State Bar of Texas.
